About

Built by golfers, for golf groups.

ClubUp was born out of frustration with spreadsheets, group chats, and the scoring app nobody remembers the password to. We set out to make something a club captain could hand to a new member and trust to just work.

We wanted the round to feel like a round again — not like a part-time admin job.

The founding brief, 2024

Chapter 01 · Mission

Why we built it.

ClubUp is dedicated to helping groups plan, organise and enjoy their rounds and tournaments with as little friction as possible. The goal is a single, well-built place to keep the schedule, the scoring, the handicaps and the conversation — instead of three different apps and a Google Sheet that only one person knows how to update.

Integrated social features help members stay connected, share moments, and celebrate wins as a community. And because clubs work best when they work together, our pricing lets a single organiser hold the subscription and unlock the full experience for every member of their group.

Chapter 02 · Features

What ClubUp does.

  1. Schedule fixtures and tournaments without the spreadsheet

  2. Live scoring with the leaderboard updating as cards come in

  3. World Handicap System compliant calculations

  4. Group chat that stays on topic — fixtures, attendance, results

  5. Real-time notifications when something actually changes

  6. Season-long standings, kept forever, searchable by year

Chapter 03 · The team

The people behind it.

Leadership
Direction, decisions, and the long-term shape of the product.
Engineering
Build, ship, and quietly delete the stuff that doesn’t earn its place.
Quality
Catches things before you do. Pretends not to enjoy it.
Community
Listens to groups, captains and the occasional opinionated member.
